As Tour Design and Operations Manager, Shauni is responsible for crafting the itineraries that bring Ireland to life for our guests. From selecting the perfect hotels to choosing must-see attractions, she ensures every detail of the tour experience meets My Ireland Tour's high standards.

Originally from Belgium, Shauni first visited Ireland at 18 and fell in love with the country. Seven years later, she made the life-changing decision to move to Ireland and join the My Ireland Tour team, where she has been designing and managing tours for the past seven years.

Shauni's Background

"I first came into touch with Ireland when I was 18. It kind of stuck with me. About seven years later, I decided, I'm just going to move to Ireland and see what happens."

Shauni was specifically looking for jobs in tourism because she's always loved to travel. She does a lot of travel on her own throughout Europe and continues to explore different areas of Ireland each year.

"Being from Belgium originally, Cork is now home and I love it a lot. But if I had to go for a favourite place, it would probably be Derrynane Beach. You have the graveyard and the old abbey where you can walk to at low tides, and there's just something special about it."

Key Focus

Shauni's role encompasses both the creative and operational sides of tour management. She works on deciding where tours go, what attractions to visit, how many days each itinerary should be, and which hotels provide the best experience. She also handles all the logistics, booking hotels and managing operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Having travelled extensively throughout Europe and explored different parts of Ireland each year, she brings firsthand experience to every tour she designs.
