Ten days in Ireland for people travelling on their own, running south first through Kilkenny and Cork before the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara. Outings along the way, and you are free to join in or keep to yourself.

Eight days in Ireland with like-minded individuals: your own room as standard, a group of no more than 20, and the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara all included. Designed for people travelling solo, not alone.

Both tours take in the same heart of Ireland. The difference is time and direction: the 8-Day goes west to Galway and Connemara first, the 10-Day runs south to Cork first and stays two nights, before following the Atlantic coast home. The table below sets the two side by side.
We have been running small-group tours of Ireland for 12 years, and plenty of our guests have travelled on their own. These are some of their reviews, from our other tours. This collection is new for 2027, so there are no Solo and Social reviews yet - and when there are, they will appear here alongside these.
Travelling on your own does not have to mean being on your own. These tours keep the group small enough to get to know and relaxed enough that you can take an afternoon to yourself. You will have company when you want it, and your own space when you don't. The tour opens with a welcome drink and dinner together. Here are the six things that matter most.
The honest answers, before you book. If your question is not here, get in touch and we will answer it properly.
No. This is a small-group tour for people travelling on their own, along with friends and pairs. There's nothing romantic about it, and nothing to opt into.
No. These tours are designed for people travelling on their own, but friends and pairs are very welcome. If you're travelling with someone, you can share a twin room.
No - the opposite. These tours are designed for people travelling on their own, so you'll be in the majority rather than the exception.
These tours are designed for people over 18, but there's no typical guest. Our groups attract a wide mix of ages, and in our experience the age spread has never been what makes a group work - a shared curiosity about Ireland is.
Yes. Two guests travelling together can each have their own private room, included as standard, or share a twin room and both pay less than the standard price per person - €300 off per person on the 8-Day and €400 on the 10-Day.
We can't promise that you'll click with everyone - that would be a promise nobody could keep. What we can tell you is that the tour is built to make it easy: a welcome drink and dinner on the first evening, meals taken together, and a driver-guide who looks after the group throughout. You're free to join in or keep to yourself, and plenty of guests do a bit of both.
As much or as little as you want. The tour includes several group dinners, and those are simply part of the package. Beyond them, nothing is expected of you, and there's no pressure to be sociable.
Yes. Free time is built into the itinerary, and some evenings or afternoons are deliberately left free so you can explore or eat wherever you like.
Yes. Your driver-guide is with you for the whole tour, and on the first day a local Irish representative joins the group to host the welcome drink and dinner.
Yes. A private room comes as standard for every guest, for the whole tour, and it's included in the price you see.
You do travel with the group on the days that move on to somewhere new, because that is how you and your luggage get to your next hotel. On a day that starts and finishes at the same hotel, you are free to stay behind and spend the day as you please. Beyond that, you are free to opt out of the evening activities and keep to yourself as much as you like.
Yes. There are three group transfers from Dublin Airport on arrival day, and three back to the airport on departure day, all included in the price. We confirm the times about ten days before your tour begins.
Yes, and plenty of guests do. Flights and any extra nights are yours to arrange, and we're happy to suggest hotels in Dublin for the nights either side of your tour.
Most guests on a Solo and Social tour of Ireland are travelling on their own, but you don't have to be. Friends and pairs are genuinely welcome, and you don't need to be single to join.
Travelling with a friend, you can each keep your own private room at the standard price. Or share a twin room and you'll both pay less, €300 off per person on the 8-Day and €400 on the 10-Day - just select a twin room when you book.
If you're travelling solo, your own room is yours as standard, with nothing extra to pay for it.
