The small group also made the tour a much more pleasurable experience as you got to spread out on the coach and get to know your fellow travellers in a more relaxed environment. The tour visits and inclusions were awesome and in my opinion the tour as a whole represented fantastic value for money.

We just returned from our castle tour, and it was far beyond our expectations. Our guide, George Connelly, was so knowledgeable and professional. He took such good care of all 25 of us on the tour at all times. We had gourmet meals each night (which we didn’t expect), and the accommodations were always exceptional.

We recently took a transatlantic cruise from Miami to Ireland and it worked out perfect that the My Ireland Tour 10 day Iconic Tour started the day we docked in Dublin. MIT agreed to pick us up from the cruise port and at the end of the tour dropped us off at the train station so that we could continue on our journey through Ireland. The hotels and food were great (love that Irish soda bread and scones). The scenery was spectacular and we enjoyed the company and conversation of those who toured with us.

Kristel helped us plan a tour of Ireland for four women. She was so helpful and worked with us through several changes. Our driver Patrick was informative, helpful and flexible. Great way to see the country. While this is certainly a more costly way to travel, we all felt it was well worth it.

We can't say enough great things about our Iconic Scenes of Ireland 10 day tour. Our guide/driver, Nigel O'Connor, was just outstanding. We had a great, small group on our March journey, and Nigel was the perfect host. He has a vast knowledge of the history of this beautiful island and was eager to share it with us. We left Ireland knowing so much about these wonderful Irish people and the beautiful place they live. We urge anyone looking for a truly great experience in Ireland to book the journey with My Ireland Tour. You won't be sad!

The General Post Office

The General Post Office of Ireland The General Post Office of Ireland

The General Post Office of Ireland had many homes before finally settling on its current location of O'Connell Street, on January 6th 1818. It is most famous for housing the Irish Rebels during the Easter Rising of 1916.

The building was destroyed by fire during the uprising and was left unattended until the Irish Free State government set about restoring it. The General Post Office now acts as a visitor centre and sheds an amazing light on some of Ireland's darkest days and the country it was to become.
